Nancy Nanshin White

Nancy Nanshin White began practice in 2002 at Mt. Equity Zendo in Pennsdale, PA with Dai-En Bennage Roshi. She received jukai in 2007 and was lay entrusted in 2016. She and her husband, Tom Tomei Knapp, co-founded Open Land Sangha in 2018. Nanshin retired in 2017 following a long career as an academic economist. In addition to study and practice with the sangha, she frequently speaks at local universities and churches about the practice.
