Sallie Jiko Tisdale

Sallie Jiko Tisdale has been practicing since 1983. She received Jukai at Shasta Abbey in 1984. Her teacher was Kyogen Carlson in the Dharma Cloud lineage, out of the Jiyu Kennett lineage of Shasta Abbey. She received lay transmission from him in 1997, and empowerment in 2009. Sallie is the senior Lay Dharma Teacher at Dharma Rain Zen Center. She works as a writer and a nurse. She is the author of nine books, including "Women of the Way" and "Advice for Future Corpses."
